I will just include a few pictures here to give a flavour of the holiday.
Camping by the beach on South Uist, Our 'Northstar' camper really was a cosy home!
A liitle knitting by the camper on North Uist (Yes it is a Namaste 'Malibu' bag!):I could disclose these locations, but I don't think I will cos' we will be back!
Climbing the Quirang on the Isle of Skye, Moss thought it was great! We left Skye via the old Glenelg ferry. Check out http://www.skyeferry.com/ to support this great transport link & important piece of history.
I managed to finish my Fetching mitts and socks in a slipped stitch rib as well as making good progress on my suprise for our 'At Home in Harrogate' Summer swap.
We came home via the Cairngorms National Park, which is not a part of Scotland that I really have visited before. It was beautiful with the heather in flower.
We managed to take nearly 500 photos so I may share some more as I start to edit & organise them!

Your photos are just incredible! Everything is SO beautiful! i'm jealous of that heather photo -- four years in Scotland and I never got to see that in person (a car would have helped).
You'll be proud of me -- my first sock is making good progress.I've got 7 inches already done!
Oh! Oh! I'm just a wee bit jealous. No, I'm really jealous. Did you do anything "tweedy" on Harris, Lewis or Skye? I hear they have some fascinating museums and handwoven fabric and yarn up there... along with the incredible views.
Thanks for your nice note on my blog. Sally has been getting lots of extra love since her calamity yesterday, believe me. Glad your dog has avoided this kind of thing--I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Way cool trip. I have a dream of doing that when we are both retired. But no over the big pond - but here in the states. Thanks for the encouragement your pictures and stories are phenomenal!
I tagged you for a meme that was also a nomination for an award. Check out my blog and follow the directions...
Absolutely superb photos! Arrgh, I want to go back there soon...
I recognised the Quirang immediately; when we were there, some farmers were herding sheep off the top - it was amazing how they did it!
Those photos make me so wistful. I will dream of wide open spaces to knit in all afternoon now. Thank you.
Fabulous photos! It looks like you had a fantastic time!
Nice mitts in the wild flowers too!
Take your time thinking - it is one of the rare treasures of life - discernment!
