Bruce is still the Boss!

Did I mention that me & Mr J had tickets for the Bruce Springsteen concert in Manchester? Maybe! He was awesome, the E-Street Band were awesome & I felt 25 again (age at first Springsteen concert we went to!) Nuff said! I even managed a little knitting before it got too busy (not alot of elbow room in Old Trafford!)
Old Trafford certainly was the 'Theatre of Dreams' on Wednesday night!

The knitting is 'Carolina, the Last Queen of Naples' -a another Monkey Toes pattern. In this case the queen has no purls(!) I love this pattern with self stripping Trekking XXL. According to sources on Ravelry they are stretchier than Jaywalkers!

Fawkes are finished. Photos to follow.

Heee, you might have seen us, we were just below you on the pitch. I was standing with a very tall girl in black with lots of red hair. I wished I had had my knitting, it would have aided the concert escape parking.

It was WONDERFUL. WHat energy!

Glad you had a great time (Bruce is Igor's idol - the combination of Bruce and Old Trafford would have got him all misty-eyed!).

Love the sock photo - very 'Yarn Harlot-ish'!

What a good pattern for self striping yarn.

Were you tempted to throw your socks at Bruce? Mind you, he's still looking good so I imagine he still gets a fair amount of the 'other sort' of underwear thrown!

Thanks for your visit to my blog! As for the spinning, well, keep at it..and yes, I spin even when it gets above 95F. I am used to the heat--but, thank goodness, our air conditioning is fixed now. I liked your sock very much, and how neat that you went to see Bruce! I'm guessing he's not campaigning with our candidates so much anymore...?
